USF Selects Rhea Law as Interim President

TAMPA -- The University of South Florida's trustees have voted unanimously for Rhea Law to serve as interim president, following a recommendation by board chair Will Weatherford.

The Florida Board of Governors still must confirm the choice at its next meeting, August 31st and September 1st.

Law has an undergraduate degree from USF and a law degree from Stetson College of Law. She spent nine years on the USF Board of Trustees, the last four as chair.

Law does not plan to apply for the permanent position.

The USF presidency opened up when Steven Currall resigned unexpectedly in July.
