Florida's Six-Week Abortion Ban Bill Expected To Move Through Senate

The Florida Senate expected to move forward today with the controversial six-week abortion ban bill. Republican Senate President Kathleen Passidomo says she is proud of this bill which includes exceptions for crime victims. But House Minority Leader Fentrice Driskell calls it too extreme, too restrictive and nothing more than political pandering. The State Supreme Court is considering if the current fifteen-week ban violates Florida privacy laws, so if the bill passses it will only take effect if the current law is upheld.
