Meghan Trainor is opening up about hitting a "breaking point" after welcoming her second child with husband Daryl Sabara.

In a new essay for Today, the "All About That Bass" singer shared a vulnerable look into her mental state shortly after having her second son in 2023, admitting that she had a hard time going from one kid to two. Trainor is a mom to sons Riley, almost 4, and Barry, 17 months, per People.

"I'll never forget it, it's like it was yesterday — I'm sweating, just thinking about it. I was holding Barry, my newborn, and he was crying and crying," she recalled. "My husband was with our toddler, Riley, putting him to bed, so I was alone with Barry and he would not stop crying and then I was crying."

She continued, "I was having a panic attack and I was just over-exhausted, but I felt like I was dying. I felt if I stood up, I would pass out. I didn't feel safe holding the baby and at the same time I felt like my body was giving up on me."

The "Made You Look" hitmaker, who knew she need to seek out a doctor to get help, decided to share her personal story in order to help other moms going through something similar realize they aren't alone, especially as "we're expected to walk around like we're fine" after going through the "traumatic and crazy" experience of having a baby.

"That's why I want to share my own experience — to show other moms that they're not alone, and also to encourage them to ask for help and seek support," she said. "That means being honest about my own support system."
