Lightning Fall To Maple Leafs In OT

The Toronto Maple Leafs (48-26-4) defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning (45-26-7) 4-3 in overtime on Wednesday night at Amalie Arena. With the win, Toronto extended their lead over Tampa Bay in the Atlantic Division to three points with four games to go for both teams.

Tampa Bay got goals from Nick Perbix, Oliver Bjorkstrand and Victor Hedman in this game. Matthew Knies had a hat trick, with the hat trick goal coming in overtime to lift the Maple Leafs to a huge second point and the win.

The Lightning are next in action on Friday night when they host the Red Wings. Puck drop from Amalie Arena is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Friday night at Amalie Arena.
