The 2026 Florida legislative session kicking off with Governor Ron DeSantis delivering his final "State of the State". DeSantis says he'll focus on eliminating property taxes, upping consumer protections, writing an A.I. Bill of Rights, reducing debt and making Florida more affordable. But Democratic Representative Angie Nixon says the state needs to change course. The session is set to end March 13th. DeSantis has already called for a special session in April to address redistricting.
