There’s no rule that says when you go on a trip you have to be with someone.
If you’ve been waiting for the perfect time or just hesitate heading out on your own…it’s time. Experts call traveling alone empowering, but before you make plans, here are some tips:
- Just do it
- Start small to get used to solo trips
- Pack cash in multiple places
- Download and use a safety app
- Travel between the peak and slow seasons. it’s called the shoulder season
- Get travel insurance
- Research safety in the area you’re going
- Get a SIM card with data when you land
- Plan some of your trip, but leave room for “serendipity”
